Our youth group provides a place for teenagers to enjoy; where they can hang out, chill and chat to friends after a hard week at school! Each evening includes discussion and interactive games/activities. There is also a tuck shop and a hang-out area with an Xbox, pool table and other games.
Our youth group is a place where every teenager is respected and their opinion valued; where helpers and teenagers alike can learn, grow and build friendships together.
What you need to know
- Please use the back entrance on Wellington Street, and ring the doorbell or call 077314 31206 if the door is locked.
- Each youth group session concludes at 9.30pm. Parents/Guardians should arrange transport prior to their teenager attending the youth group.
- It is advised that each teenager bring some pocket money with them for the tuck shop
- Teenagers who are trying out the youth group for the first time will be given a copy of our youth group registration form to bring with them (completed and signed by their parent/guardian) on their next visit.
Meet the team
Our youth group team is made up of a group of volunteers from our church who regularly commit to coming along to the youth group, and who have a passion to see teenagers learn, grow and develop into young adults:
Christian oversees the running of the youth group and enjoys being involved with each session. Christian married Alison at the church back in May 2011.
Alison often leads and takes part in the discussion group at Youth Group, and leads the games and activities for most sessions. She is married to Christian.
Helen is a new member of our youth group team, and looks forward to getting to know everyone. She is married to Andy, and they have two lovely children; Naomi and Chloe.
Captain Steve regularly helps out with the youth group, and also happens to be one of the commanding officers of the church!
Captain Mel is married to Steve, enjoys engaging with the youth group, and as you've probably guessed, is our other commanding officer!
